Ernie Selke

Ernie Selke is the Founder and Lead Financial Planner at FinancialWise®. He began his career in 1989 at MetLife and has since dedicated himself to helping pre-retirees, retirees, and business owners with financial planning, wealth management, and business succession strategies. To deepen his expertise, Ernie has earned the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations. 

Ernie is also a Special Care Planner, working with families of children with special needs to help them navigate their unique financial considerations. His personal experience with multiple family members with special needs gives him a deep understanding and compassionate approach to this vital aspect of financial planning. 

Ernie is an active member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Clifton Park, New York, where he currently serves in its teen program and as an Elder. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, and tackling home improvement projects. Ernie and his wife, Bonnie, reside in Charlton, New York, with their beloved pet rabbits, Rusty, Basil, and Susie Q.
